Learn how the brain likes learning

In order to learn a language, it needs to become part of your DNA and although it does take a certain amount of work, a systematic approach is needed to acquire language acquisition. For most people wanting to learn, the language needs to be useful and applicable to everyday life. Using our course app will prepare you with the vocabulary needed before the lesson and then during the focused lessons, you will then learn how to use the vocabulary and especially how they are used from a cultural perspective. Having this foundation will allow you to then use Chinese when you encounter different situations.

Classes are usually held weekly and the number of hours depend on your Chinese level. If you are a starter, your mind will get very tired as you process and practice all the class content. Therefore, we recommend one hour lessons. Once you develop your basic Chinese, the amount of class time per week can increase depending on your need and desire.

The purpose of the class is to teach you how to construct sentences and directly apply language to daily life situations. As explained in the introduction class, Memrise is only for character recognition and the class will show you how to use the vocabulary you are learning. In addition, background and culture is also taught for you to have a complete understanding of the language. The ‘why’ behind the language is not usually taught in traditional Chinese classes and so this limits the learning process. Both the app and the lessons are needed in order to develop your Chinese and so one cannot be done without the other.
